We
as people, along with all other living things, are creatures of
rhythm. Rhythm is inherent in all things from the division of
cells, the firing of neurons, the beating wings of a hummingbird
or a heart, to the changing of the tides and the seasons. The
health and prosperity of a system, be it a person or a society,
is due in large part to its ability to be in sync
or rhythm. Drums call us to celebrations, rites of passage and
remembrances. Throughout the world, these events keep time and
mark the cyclical nature of lifes processes.
